A 35-year-old motorcyclist from Barrowford was killed when his bike collided with a deer on a country road in the Trough of Bowland.
Police werte today warning motorists to be alert in isolated rural roads, particularly in the twilight hours, after one of their vehicles was also involved in a collision with a deer.
The accident occurred after the deer jumped over a hedge at 5.40pm yesterday in Whitewell Road, Cow Ark.
Motorcyclist Jeffrey Craig Barsby, of Higher Causeway, was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary but was pronounced dead on arrival.
