COLNE kicked off their season by hitting five at home to Norton United.
Carl Howarth opened their account on six minutes after rounding the keeper.
Norton equalised on 15 minutes but Colne regained the lead when Gavin Cooper slid a ball through the visitors' defence for Howarth to score is second of the afternoon.
United levelled once more when the home defence failed to clear a corner.
James Webster released Cooper to make it 3-2 as Colne started to take control, and Steve Cunningham's 25-yard rocket beat the keeper to make it 4-2.
Goal five came with three minutes remaining when a run by Sam Hayes ended with another great strike from the edge of the area.
