A LOOK at the key moments from the game against Shrewsbury
ACCRINGTON STANLEY
JON KENNEDY: Another solid performance from John Coleman's last signing of the summer. Made some brave decisions which came off but could do nothing about the goal 8
PETER CAVANAGH: Made a couple of strong runs down the right flank and was part of a generally resilient defensive unit 7
STEVE HOLLIS: Had his hands full with influential right midfielder Steve Jagielka but coped well 7
ROBBIE WILLIAMS : Had the unenviable task of marking Luke Rodgers but was absolutely superb. Marked him tightly and matched him for pace 9
JONATHAN SMITH: Had a header cleared off the line but some of his defensive headers weren't as strong and direct as usual 7
ANDY PROCTER: Proved to be a versatile asset for Stanley as he started the game on the right side of midfield. Unfortunate that it was his slip-up that led to Shrewsbury's winner 7
GORDON ARMSTRONG: Not as prominent as he was in Wednesday's home win over Leigh. Was brought off early in the second half 6
PAUL COOK: His second half free-kick caused problems for the visitors and almost led to Andy Gouck handing Stanley the lead but wasn't his most influential game 7
LUTEL JAMES: Struggled with a hamstring injury but battled through the first half and was denied a goal by Ian Dunbavin's brave save 7
PAUL MULLIN: Didn't get the service from both flanks that he enjoyed on Wednesday night and was well marshalled when he did get possession 7
RORY PRENDERGAST: Was tracked very closely and wasn't allowed the freedom he enjoyed against Leigh but some of his deliveries caused problems 6
SUBS USED: John Durnin (for James 56) 7, Andy Gouck (for Armstrong) 7, Dean Calcutt (for Cook 84). Subs not used: Jamie Speare, Steve Halford.
