I THINK that the summer play schemes at Darwen Leisure Centre are a fantastic way of keeping the children fit and out of trouble during the summer holidays.
The staff cannot be responsible for my children, nor would I expect them to be. It is made quite clear that these are open-access facilities.
It is up to us as parents to teach our children about present-day dangers and ensure that they understand the importance of informing their parents when they are not where we expect them to be.
