A BURNLEY funeral director is aiming to lift the mystique surrounding the profession by holding an open day.
Co-operative Funeralcare is inviting people to visit its premises on Colne Road on Friday between 10am and 4pm.
A range of vehicles will also be on display including a motorcycle hearse and a horse drawn hearse.
Visitors will be offered a guided tour of the funeral home, which was re-branded as Co-operative Funeralcare earlier this year. Angela Worrall, Co-operative Funeralcare regional manager, said: "We hope by opening our doors we can break down some of the traditional barriers and promote a greater understanding of the profession."
