ENGINEERING work on the Atherton line has hit a Bank Holiday rail trip of memories planned to pick up at the station.
The Green Express Railtours heritage train from Manchester Victoria to Edinburgh on Saturday, August 23, will now call at Bolton, Hindley and Wigan instead of Swinton and Atherton.
The organisers have written to passengers due to board the dozen 1950s and 60s coaches at the two stations offering the option of a refund.
Further information on the £36 trip is available by ringing 01484 422920.
