RESERVE team boss Alan Murray has called for 'more of the same' from his players as Rovers prepare to face Manchester United at Altrincham tonight (7pm).

Murray's side made a flying start to the new season last week as a 3-0 home victory over Birmingham took them soaring to the top of the table.

However, United are sure to provide a sterner examination of their credentials this evening, particularly as Brazilian World Cup winner Kleberson will feature in the Reds' starting line-up.

"Obviously, we know that we'll have to apply ourselves and play to the standards that we know we are capable of to match them," said Murray.

"But if we do that then we are more than capable of giving them a game.

"Manchester United will field a strong side just as we'll do because it's that time in the season when managers are looking to give some of the players on the fringes of the first team a game.

"Jay McEveley, Andy Todd, Nissa Johansson and Ciccio Grabbi haven't had too much time on the pitch so far so this is a chance for them to get some more action under their belts.

"I was pleased with the attitude and the effort all the senior players showed last week.

"When first team players come in and do a job like that it sets a great example for the younger players."

While Rovers got off to a flyer against Birmingham, a youthful United reserve side had to settle for a point from their opener against Aston Villa.

But the inclusion of £5.93 million summer signing, Kleberson, in tonight's line-up should pep up the home side.

"There might be a bigger crowd than normal on because he's playing which should make for a decent atmosphere," added Murray.

Rovers' squad is: Yelldell, Peers, McEveley, Donnelly, Todd, Johansson, Watt, Harkins, Ostenstad, Grabbi, Mahon, Morgan, Drench, Fitzgerald, Nelson, Taylor (Michael), Pelzer.
