IT'S great news for workers in a Blackburn suburb who want to relax after a hard day - Lesley Lomax, landlady at the Witton Inn, Preston Old Road, Blackburn, is opening the popular hostelry earlier.
Lesley, 44, is extending the opening hours to open from 4pm every week day instead of 6pm.
She said: "When we came we thought 6pm was too late. Now people who come home from work can come and relax."
Lesley has introduced serving food in the pub on Friday tea-time, all-day Saturday and Sunday, and has also created new quiz nights with "prizes galore" as well as trips to local breweries. She took over the Redlam pub from her brother Chris Astley last November.
