TWO people from Darwen have been working with community groups as representatives on the town centre regeneration board.
Donna Thomas, of Hindle Street, and Heather Ashurst, of Railway Road, were selected from 18 applicants for the roles.
The board now comprises business representatives, councillors and members of community associations.
The group comes together in September to discuss Darwen's regeneration and the future of the town's trade.
Coun Andy Kay, chairman of the Darwen Town Centre Partnership Board, said: "In selecting these individuals the board took into account both their experience and their place of residence.
"They are all working together to draw up a plan for Darwen's regeneration."
