SCOTT Gizon got the ball rolling for Colne to record their second win in four days.
The Reds played the best football in a first half of limited chances, with Gizon and Steve Cunningham both going close with headers.
Colne stepped up a gear in the second half and a Cunningham corner was met by Gizon to put the Reds ahead in the 51st minute.
The home side went in search of an equalizer but the Colne defence, well marshalled by captain Gary Rishton and Steve Bird, held firm.
Veteran striker Nigel Coates entered the fray on 75 minutes and quickly showed his class with a quality finish from 20 yards.
