Salford City Reds 46 Leigh Centurions 24 by Mike Hulme: PAUL Terzis offered a brutal assessment of his own team's performance as the Reds continued to hold sway over the Centurions.
"We were spanked -- and we had a lot to do with it," admitted the Leigh coach after watching his side get beaten by Salford for a fourth time in five meetings.
"How many times did we visit their tryline and come up with a poor option?"
Roared on by an away following that would put many Super League clubs to shame, Leigh were only six points adrift with 18 minutes left, but with the game still in the balance prop Andy Coley came up with two outstanding breaks to set up the tries that catapulted Salford into the clear.
Leigh's massive travelling contingent were treated to tries from Dale Cardoza, Adam Bristow, Damian Munro and Pat Weisner.
But the sin-binning of Neil Turley, for dissent, proved a crucial turning point as Leigh blew a first-half lead.
