BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness today hailed the capture of Dino Baggio after the Italian joined Rovers over the weekend.
The former Italian international has signed on loan from Lazio until the end of the season.
And Souness is thrilled to have him on board in time to beat today's transfer deadline.
"I'm delighted we've got Dino. He's another quality addition and I'm really pleased we managed to pull it off.
"Like Barry Ferguson, he will relish playing in English football. He just wants to play football and I think the pair of them have a point to prove, not to me, but to themselves."
Souness was able to complete a deal for Baggio after Egil Ostenstad's move to Rangers freed up some spare cash in his wage bill.
Meanwhile, Andy Todd was today being linked with a transfer deadline busting move to Wolves.
