A FOOTBALL charity scheme involving Burnley FC has made a £17,983 donation to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The money is a gift from the Football Association and Football Aid, a charity which helps fans achieve their dreams of playing on the pitch.
Burnley is among 41 teams involved in the Football Aid Scheme.
The money will be used for functional vision assessments and to train staff at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to give mobility training to visually impaired people.
Robin Hutchinson, communications manager for the association, said: "There are many blind and partially sighted football fans so we are delighted with this grant."
