THOUSANDS of visitors from Pendle and beyond converged on Barrowford at the weekend for the village's 81st agricultural show.
After a two-year break because of foot and mouth, months of planning went into making sure that the show, at Barrowford Park and Bull Holme playing fields, was the best ever.
Show chairman Tony Dixon said: "We were delighted with the public response and support. We have redesigned the show to give people more of what they want and it has been a great success."
All creatures great and small took part in the competitive classes, including children's pets, dogs, cattle and sheep.
There were the usual horticulture and confectionary classes, and the children of the village showed off their skills in arts and crafts, flower-arranging and baking.
Other attractions included vintage cars, military vehicles, dog agility displays, duck herder Billy Heslop and the Sanderson dancers.
