RADCLIFFE Boro manager Kevin Glendon declared he was thrilled with his side's start to their life in Unibond Premier League.

Despite only winning one of their four games, Glendon believes his side have adapted well and is looking to the Borough's forthcoming fixtures with optimism.

"All in all, I think we have started the season exceptionally well. We are obviously having problems at the back but that should sort itself out when players return from injury and we can go on from there.

"Out of the four games we have played, I think we have been good value for a result in three of them.

"The only time I think we have been outplayed is against Stalybridge in the first-half but we put that right in the second and ran out winners," Glendon said.

The boss believes that Boro could have had more than one point from their Bank Holiday double header with Blyth Spartans and Bradford Park Avenue.

"I thought we played some good pockets of football in the two games and if someone was forced to pick the promoted side out from the two teams on Saturday, they would struggle.

"Against Blyth, we played some good stuff and we were slightly unlucky with some decisions.

"I, for one, don't believe that James Price warranted a red-card and we had problems at the back.

"We played well on Monday too on what was a bad pitch but let ourselves down by going to sleep for their goal," he admitted.
