POLICE are carrying out further inquiries into allegations that Blackburn Rovers coach Dean Saunders tampered with a gas supply.
Saunders, 39, answered bail yesterday, but was told he had been bailed again until September 25.
The former Liverpool striker and his wife Helen were arrested at their home near Northwich on Wednesday, August 13, on suspicion of theft.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "A 39 year-old man who was due to answer bail yesterday has been told his bail date has been put back until September 25."
The spokesman added that he was unsure how the man had been told of this development.
