I READ with interest the article (LET, August 30) about Twin Valley Homes giving advice to parents about the behaviour of young children and teenagers.
One mother complained: "Don't tell me how to bring up my children." Of course, your reporter had to make a mountain out of a mole hill, as usual.
About 10,000 people live in Twin Valley Homes properties and they are, in the main, good tenants, but there are a number who just let their children run wild.
The little bit of advice -- on one page of a 16-page magazine and taking up a space of only 4in x 3in -- told parents how to possibly solve some of the problems.
Of course, we have to have comments from Councillor Paul McGurty stating that: "They should put more effort into providing good-quality housing for residents."
If he had read Page 5 of the same magazine it would have told him just what work is going on in and around the estates, with millions of pounds being spent on renovations and repairs.
Thank goodness, the editor in his Comment agreed with Twin Valley Homes that if one family learns from the guide then it will have been worthwhile.
