The outspoken actress turned producer got married to TV actor Muneer Makhija in Goa . The two of them secretly began dating after they met during filming for one of Muneer's TV shows.

Family and very close friends attended the quiet ceremony. The notable absentee was Pooja's legendary father Mahesh Bhatt; the renowned filmmaker was away working on a film. Well aware of the impending marriage Mahesh had given Pooja all his blessings.

The marriage came as a surprise because Pooja has had a long line of high profile relationships that have ended badly.
