PUB customers helped send a group of pensioners to the Southport Flower Show through fund-raising bingo sessions.
The Wigan Road Residents' Association of Leigh raised £400 with the help of regulars at the Royal Oak pub which enabled 35 local pensioners to climb aboard the Leigh West Morris Dancers bus and attend the show.
Association secretary Dave Hulme said: "The pensioners had a wonderful time, everybody who attended the trip were full of praises."
A similar trip is planned for next year.
