lI'VE nothing against the pile 'em high sell 'em cheap supermarkets but they certainly test my patience.
I popped into one where I've picked up artist bargains in the past to see if there were any up for grabs, but being disappointed I settled on some garden bulbs and a squeaky toy for the dog instead.
However, when I encountered only two tills operating and a queue of at least 15 people at each I dumped the goods and left. I wonder how many other shoppers do the same?
If so the company could pay a few more till girls and boys from the takings they must lose in a week and keep everyone happy. I can't understand the mentality of having a row of tills, a busy store and loads of frustrated customers.
