INJURY-HIT Leigh RMI Ladies went down 2-1 to newcomers Everton St Domingos.
Everton who struck first with a fortuitous goal as the RMI keeper and centre back collided to gift them with the opener. RMI looked shaky at times which led to a second goal by Everton from a neatly slotted ball which split the defence and left the keeper with no chance.
RMI started the second half much better as hard working performances from Joanne Wood and Becky Dennard in midfield created several chances. RMI passed the ball with confidence and Lou Sumner pulled a goal back.
