LEIGH Centurions will have one fan who hopes to be cheering them all the way into Super League - axed coach Paul Terzis.

The four season reign of Terzis came to an unexpected end last week but despite the disappointment of not being given the chance to see the campaign through, the Centurions will have his support as they prepare for the play-offs.

"Four of the best years of my life have been in Leigh and you can't just throw that away," he says. "Emotionally I'll be tied to Leigh for the rest of my life - there's will always be the first result I look for no matter where I am in the world.

"The challenges that were there last week are still facing the players despite the changes. I firmly believe that this squad is good enough to beat Salford and win a Grand Final. If they do that, there'll be no happier bloke than me. I'm proud of my record at Leigh and I hope the supporters get to enjoy even more success in the future. If anyone deserves it, they do. They've been magnificent to me and my family, I'll miss them greatly."
