MARK Patterson's search for new faces ended this week after he landed two key signings.

The RMI boss has recruited midfielders Martyn Forrest from Bury on a three month loan and Andy Roscoe from Halifax on a permanent basis.

They will go straight into the squad which travels to strugglers Gravesend and Northfleet on Saturday.

Patterson is keen to get back to winning ways after losing two consecutive home games.

The Railwaymen lost in disappointing fashion last week to Forest Green, who picked up their first away win of the season.

And he will be hoping his two new signings will help to bolster his midfield and RMI's prospects against the Kent side, who lie second from bottom in the Conference league table.

He said: "It's difficult to lose two games and we've got to bounce back this week against Gravesend.

"They have vast experience and that is just what we need. Forrest is a busy player who puts himself about, while Roscoe is a left-sided player."

Roscoe has vast Football League experience, and has played for Rotherham, Mansfield and Exeter and a few games for Bolton Wanderers.

The 30-year-old, who has signed a two year deal, could end Patterson's search for a left sided player.

Forrest, aged 24, has spent his whole career at Gigg Lane, but has struggled to maintain a first team spot in Andy Preece's team.

Gerry Harrison remains unavailable with a collarbone injury.
