SKIPPER Graham Branch is demanding the same again as Burnley try to clip the Canaries wings this Saturday.

Flying high after three straight wins, the Clarets face Norwich's new Little and Large strike-force following the loan signings of Premiership stars Peter Crouch and Darren Huckerby.

But Branch, who has surrendered defensive duties since the arrival of Blackburn loanee Andy Todd, reckons buoyant Burnley can again hit the heights at Carrow Road.

Branch said: "Crouch and Huckerby are both good players, but we have strong players at the back as well and if we can keep them quiet we have a very good chance.

"We've finally turned the corner, I think. We have been playing well, but it was all about eliminating the mistakes and we've done that.

"Some of the football we are playing is absolutely exceptional at times and if we keep playing that way and passing the ball, we are going to beat a lot more teams than beat us.

"I certainly don't think anyone is going to go to Gillingham and Stoke and batter them the way we did."

Branch reckons the astute managerial leadership of Stan Ternent has been the catalyst for Burnley's rampant revival.

Ternent has used the loan market wisely to bring Luke Chadwick, Todd, and Bolton duo Gareth Farrelly and Delroy Facey to Turf Moor to strengthen his hand.

Branch added: "We now have players than can make other teams look ordinary.

"But the gaffer is good at bringing players in and has a real knack for it. With the size of the squad, we need all the help we can get and all the new lads have contributed to us playing so well."

Meanwhile, Burnley's Lancashire derby date with Preston in December has been switched on police advice.

The Deepdale clash was scheduled to kick off at 3pm on Saturday, December 20, but will now start at 12.30pm on the same date.

Finally, Burnley's Youth Team have also had their Youth Alliance clash at Gawthorpe with Carlisle United brought forward 24 hours to tomorrow (2pm KO).
