THIS little beauty is the real Number One in her parents' house - even though dad has just become a world champion!

For ten-day-old cutie Hollie Jean is the daughter of World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson.

The tiny tot was born on Tuesday, September 2, days ahead of the Burnley Bullet's vital race in Assen, Holland, last Sunday, which secured his championship crown.

Now the 29-year-old first time father is getting used to getting his hands dirty for a different reason...changing nappies!

Speaking from the Isle of Man, where he lives with wife Kathryn, Neil said: "I've just about come back down to earth after the past week. But Hollie's been a really good baby. You never know what to expect with your first child and you hear horror stories about only getting two hours' sleep at night.

"Kathryn and I have been sleeping in different bedrooms and doing shifts at night-time with Hollie. When I came back from Assen I was really tired and obviously Kathryn was exhausted from having the baby.

"But I am really enjoying it - even the nappy changing."

Hollie Jean, who was named after Kathryn's mum Jean, was induced early so Neil could be at the birth. But just over 24 hours after she was born he had to fly to Holland.

He said: "It was absolutely horrible leaving Kathryn on the baby, particularly because she was still in hospital. But I put the baby's name on my T-shirt for after the race, although it was spelt wrong, because Kathryn decided to change the spelling after I had written it.

"Kathryn watched the race on TV and I spoke to her after the presentation on the winner's podium. But it was weird coming home to a baby in the house - a nice kind of weird though."
