A THORNTON woman has signed up for a charity abseil in memory of her husband who lost his battle with cancer.
Sue Etchells, whose husband Dave died last October, will abseil 110ft at the Blackpool and the Fylde College, Ashfield Road, Bispham on October 12 to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. And Sue, who works in the Primary Care Trust office which organises the charity's care nurses, is inviting brave fund-raisers of The Fylde to join her.
The event is open to everyone aged 17 plus, who can raise a minimum £25 sponsorship. For a registration form contact Lyn or Pat on 01772 749797.
