GRADE two listed building, North Shore Methodist Church, Dickson Road, will open its doors to show off its architectural treasures -- including Art Nouveau stained glass windows -- free of charge this Saturday, 10am-4pm, and Sunday, 2pm-4pm (September 12 and 13).

Church representatives will be on hand to show visitors round the building. There will also be a celebration service led by Reverend Barbara Duchars in the church at 3pm. Contractors, architects, quantity surveyors, funding organisations and individual supporters of the church's renovation work are all welcome.

BLOOD donor sessions take place at Waterloo Methodist Church, Spen Corner, Waterloo Road on Wednesday (September 17), 2pm-4pm and 5.30pm-7.30pm.

THORNTON

WYRE Home Organ Society's next meeting will be at Thornton Sports and Social Club, Holly Road (off Trunnah Road) on Tuesday (September 16). Guest organist will be Andrew Seddon.
