A MAN accused of possessing drugs with intent to supply them at an open prison has been told he will be tried at Crown Court.

Yassar Khan, 20, of July Street, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to possessing five ecstasy tablets with intent to supply at Kirkhan Open Prison on April 17 this year.

Khan also denied possessing cannabis with intent to supply the drug. He is also accused of possessing ecstasy and cannabis.

Khan was given unconditional bail by Blackpool magistrates for committal of his case to Preston Crown Court on October 24.
