THE Blackburn military tattoo suffered a scare when a hot air balloon crashed back to earth shortly after being launched from the Witton Park event.
Meanwhile work began on the £500,000 Padiham to Barrowford bypass. Work involved extending the Padiham end of the highway from the junction of Whalley Road to a new T junction on Blackburn Road.
