LEIGH Centurions' record-breaker Neil Turley is facing the biggest dilemma of his life.

The Hilton Park scoring sensation must choose between continuing with his honeymoon plans or delay them for 24 hours and play for the Centurions in their crunch game at Doncaster on Sunday.

Full-back Turley gets married on Saturday and had booked a short break afterwards with his new bride in the Lake District but, according to coach Darren Abram, he's now having second thoughts.

Turley would need to play on Sunday to again put his name in the game's record books as the player to kick the fastest-ever 100 goals. Currently he's stranded on 98 and would need three more in Leigh's 16th game of the season to leap-frog Bobbie Goulding and Andy Farrell in the sharp-shooters list.

"It's a tough call," Abram admitted. "Getting married is probably the biggest day of anyone's life and had he got the record already I don't think he would have played. But Neil knows how important this game is to the club and if he could help us win, and get the record along the way, it would be very satisfying for him.

"But the decision is entirely his. There's no pressure from me or anyone else at the club. I need to know pretty quickly what he's going to do."

If Turley doesn't play, the number one jersey could go to new signing Rob Smyth who made his Leigh debut on the wing against Keighley but has bags of Super League experience with Warrington at full-back.

Leigh might need all the experience they can muster at Belle Vue with their key midfield trio of Tommy Martyn (knee and shin), John Duffy (knee) and Ian Knott (ankle) all under treatment earlier in the week.

"It will be touch and go for all of them," said Abram. "Hopefully some intensive treatment will do the trick but it's a question of waiting and hoping."

The good news for Abram, however, is that Simon Knox, Chris Percival, Dave Larder and Willie Swann, will all be back to bolster Sunday's squad.

Abram rates Doncaster as 'the most ill-disciplined team in the division' and has warned his players not to get drawn into any retaliatory action.

"I've spoken to a few coaches who've played them this season and watched a couple of videos and they give penalties away for fun. They're not averse to putting in a few cheap shots either. We've got to be prepared for a tough, physical battle but keeping our discipline and shape will be the key to victory."

Doncaster, who lost heavily at Featherstone, had two players sent off - PJ Solomon and Matt Walker - but both will be available for Sunday as their cases are only heard next Tuesday. Walker was also put on report while winger Dean Colton was sin-binned twice.

Leigh have turned down a couple of approaches for out of favour winger Damian Munro.

Last season's top try scorer has struggled for form and fitness this year but he still figures in Abram's plans.

"I've let one or two players go out on loan but I don't want to lose Damian. Once he gets a bit a form and fitness back he'll be in contention for a first team jersey - but he's got to fight for it."
