IN the good old days, the secrecy of the ballot box was supposed to be sacrosanct and nobody was allowed to know how I had voted or even if I had voted.
If I chose to, I could give a card to party servants outside the polling station telling them that I had voted, or I would choose not to do. The important thing was that it was my choice.
Under this new postal system all parties are now given, on a daily basis, lists of people who have voted.
It may seem a trivial thing but basically this is a major violation of the secrecy of the polling system.
