WHEN he was in office the late US President Ronald Reagan was not a great administration and had only a limited knowledge of foreign affairs.

The reason why he was a successful and popular president was because he used his acting skills to become a great communicator and even more so he restored pride and self-confidence to the American people.

May I suggest that England needs a patriotic leader in the Ronald Reagan mould.

For too long England and its people have been denigrated abroad and indeed at home by subversive elements who scour the history books to find some past misdemeanour. Yet they have absolutely nothing to say about our great achievements in just about every area of human endeavour.

When the flying of the English flag, 'in England' is now considered by some people to be offensive, then we really are in dire straits.
