POWERBOAT racer Paul Scott is on course for a world championship title after winning his second grand prix.
The 27-years-old added the British Formula Three prize to the French title he collected at the start of the new season in front of a 100,000 strong home crowd at Barrow.
Last year the Leigh businessman, who has been racing from the age of 15, finished third overall in the Formula Three table.
Paul, of Beech Walk, Leigh, who is a member of the Lancashire Power Racing Club based at Carr Mill, St Helens, was assisted by mechanics Dave Matthews and Nick Vaughan.
Mum and press officer, Helen, said: "We would like to thank all the local fans who travelled to the event. Paul is getting well known after being interviewed by Granada TV and BBC radio after the event."
