A POLICE officer has been awarded a CBE.
Detective Superintendent David Brown, who has worked at the police training college at Sedgley Park in Prestwich, has been recognised for his outstanding services to policing.
Mr Brown joined Greater Manchester Police (GMP) in 1969, began his career at Moss Side and has worked in various districts across the force, including Prestwich.
He has received four Chief Constable's Commendations during his career.
