PRESTWICH Carnival is all set to be "Ladies' Day" on Sunday with an all-male star line up!

Organisers have turned up the heat on this year's live performances to woo the crowds at St Mary's Park.

Girls should get ready to swoon at Robbie Williams look-a-like, JK as Robbie, and Justlike Timberlake is the next best thing to Britney's former partner.

Those with more traditional tastes will also be catered for with top Elvis impersonator, Elvis Williamson, who was a huge hit at last year's carnival, and Roy Orbison sound-a-like, Dave Ward.

The lads will be on stage throughout the afternoon in the main showcase arena and will be joined by local youth talent. Singers from youth theatre group, Class Act, will be putting in an appearance and talented songstress, Emma Hand will entertain the crowds.

All the action will be centred in the park, which will be open to visitors from noon until 5pm.

Attractions to look out for are the Prestwich Lions Bazaar, annual Court of Queens, Majorettes competition, Belly Dancing demonstration and fairground rides for all ages.

Prestwich Thai Boxing Club will also be on the showground putting on a demonstration of punching, kicking, sparring and some traditional ritual moves.

Representatives from the Prestwich and Whitefield Guide, which is sponsoring the carnival, will also be on the field and there will be a chance to win lots of goodies and prizes.

One of the highlights of the afternoon will be at 3pm when the Tarts and Fairies football match kicks off -- don't miss the dads dressed to kill and celebrating Father's Day in their own way!

In addition to the showground fun, visitors should be sure not to miss the grand carnival parade through the streets of Prestwich.

The parade will form up in Rectory Lane from noon and the procession will commence at around 1pm.

Led by the Mayor of Bury, Coun Wilf Davison, it will travel along Whittaker Lane, onto Bury Old Road, left into Nursery Road, and into Fairfax Road before making its final approach to St Mary's Park via Bury New Road.

The colourful procession will arrive at the showground at approximately 2.15pm.
