ONCE again it appears that Coun Derek Boden and I use different dictionaries (Letters, June 11).
Might I respectfully suggest that now he has been honoured by the Queen he treats himself to a copy of Chambers. This explains the links between the words "patronising" and "condescension". It avoids the archaic and politically-incorrect term "the lower orders", and is therefore in line with socialist principles whilst also providing fitting terminology for a man with an OBE.
