THE coloured-kit carnival of the Manchester Association's Surridge Cup might have gone down like a proverbial lead balloon with Brooksbottoms' first team, but their second string have revelled in the new atmosphere.
The firsts ended their interest with a run-rate home defeat at the hands of Flixton at the weekend, but five wins on the bounce see Pat Henneberry's second team take on Newton Heath in the cup final at Summerseat tomorrow.
In the middle of such a good run of results, Brox will fancy their chances after missing out on promotion.
The game gets underway at noon and all spectators are welcome.
