WHAT has our mean-minded society now brought about?

At 9.25am on Thursday September 8, I witnessed a traffic warden place a ticket on a car, parked correctly, on the car park at Fairfax Road, Prestwich.

Of course, the grasping warden deemed it parked incorrectly, because he considered a front wheel was at an angle, and a couple of inches over a white line. What a major offence! The poor driver would later find a financial headache waiting for him or her.

Then, and this is the real cruncher, the same warden drove up to unlock the car park further along by Prestwich Library i.e. the former Sainsbury's car park. There were 15 cars lined up in both directions waiting to use this car park and hereby creating a potential obstructional hazard.

This hazard was created needlessly by this new "jobsworth" scenario! Shame on us all for creating and allowing such greedy stupidity!
