COUNCILLOR Milburn (LET, September 14) is offended by the suggestion that his colleagues are taking advantage of their car parking perk.
However, we all know that MPs of all parties, and EU Commissioners and MEPs from all countries shamelessly abuse privileges and fiddle expenses to the tune of millions of pounds of taxpayers' money every year.
They are the ones who have destroyed voters' faith in the integrity of politicians, so that the public perception now is that people enter politics for what they can get out of it.
