FURIOUS Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman demanded extra training for his troops after branding Saturday's display "embarrassing".

"I can't remember seeing an Accrington team under me play as bad as we did for the last 15 minutes," blasted Coleman after seeing his side surrender their run of four games without conceding a goal.

"We were embarrassing and it's not acceptable.

"Leigh's goal was coming for 20 minutes because we got to 2-0 and clocked off.

"We clocked off in the first half.

"Jon Kennedy's only made one save, our back four haven't played that bad, but in front of them we were just non-existant.

"Steve Jagielka carried the midfield again on his own and it's happening too often."

Coleman, who hauled his players in for extra training yesterday, added: "The only saving grace is that we've got three points.

"We were just too lacklustre. Whether they got it into their head that Leigh RMI are a push over, I'm telling you now they're not.

"Leigh RMI came here and showed as much spirit as anybody else. They are by no means a pushover.

"If you think games are won before you start, that's how you lose games.

"It's an absolute sickener that you work so hard to keep four clean sheets on the spin and then you give it up like that in the last 10 seconds.

"We've won three out of four home games so, at the end of the day, I'd sooner play like that and win than play magnificently and lose.

"But I've always been one for not getting kidded by results.

"Even if we'd have won 2-0 it still wouldn't have been acceptable.

"The goal just rubber-stamped my feelings anyway."
