A CAR wash raider who made off with cash and a wallet was today starting a six-month jail term.
Burnley magistrates heard how Gavin James Thomas, 26, was on licence when he struck and was also subject to a drug treatment and testing order.
Thomas, of Albert Street, Nelson, admitted burglary on July 26.
He was given four months for the burglary, to be served after the two month unexpired portion of his previous sentence.
The court was told Thomas took about £34 in petty cash and a wallet containing £30 from the car wash.
Glen Smith, defending, said Thomas had not gone out with the intention of committing an offence.
He had been taking drugs at the time which was a regular feature of his life. The defendant, who was released from custody on September 10, had come to court knowing his liberty was at risk.
