DEFIANT Chorley manager John Hughes has urged his troops to keep the faith.

The Magpies earned a replay with a 0-0 draw in their FA Cup qualifying round tie at Guiseley on Saturday.

And Hughes is hopeful they can finish the job at Victory Park tonight.

"We had a number of chances to win the game on Saturday, and they didn't really trouble us," he said.

"The main thing was that we kept a clean sheet and hopefully we can build on that.

"I was proud of everyone, and if we keep plugging away the results will go in our favour.

"The players are confident of that too, so they've just got to keep believing in themselves.

"They know that better results are just around the corner."

And Hughes hailed his midfield as the strongest in the UnidBond League.

"I don't think there's a better midfield four," he said.

"Our recent results haven't reflected our performances at all, but it can't carry on that way."

Chorley could be without midfield maestro Matt Woods tonight after he was withdrawn 20 minutes from time on Saturday with a dead leg.

But Hughes is expecting Jamie Vermiglio to be available after recovering from a virus.
