A YEAR'S work was celebrated at the annual Bury Soroptimists' Dinner at the Red Hall Restaurant in Ramsbottom.
Ninety-one guests attended the 61st dinner of the local branch of the international organisation. Guests who joined the ladies included speaker Mrs Vivien Carter, Mrs Linda Redhead, regional president for south Lancashire, as well as the Bury Mayor, Coun Barry Briggs, and his wife, Sharon. Representatives from similar community based organisations also attended.
President of Bury Soroptimists Mrs Julia DeSousa commented: "The evening, to celebrate the work of the soroptimists in Bury, went very well."
