UNITED Utilities chief executive John Roberts will face questions from water watchdogs at a special meeting.
He will also take questions from members of the public at the meeting of WaterVoice North West to be held at Bridgewater House, Whitworth Street, Manchester, on Thursday at 1.30pm.
Mr Roberts will answer points raised about his companys service to water customers in the region. Complaints to the local watchdog increased by 47 per cent in the first six months of the financial year.
The committee is now receiving almost twice as many complaints about United Utilities as it did just two years ago.
Maurice Terry, WaterVoices North West chairman, said: Mr Roberts attendance provides us with an excellent opportunity to ensure that the customers viewpoint is heard at the highest levels within the company.
The increase in complaints is of great concern to us and we will be asking Mr Roberts what action he is taking to address this issue.
WaterVoice provides an independent voice for all water and sewerage customers in England and Wales.
