WHILE sport was Steve Butterworth's subject when he worked at the Bury Times, he has proved there are more strings to his bow with a book about musicians.
Mr Butterworth worked as a sports sub-editor at the newspaper between 1978 and 1982, but is now a published author.
And his book Rock Till You Drop is available from the publisher Eye5, detailing rock stars who have died before they were 40.
The informative book divides the deaths into murder, accident, drugs, medical and suicide and includes Kurt Cobain, Mama Cass, Buddy Holly and Keith Moon.
He now works as a freelance journalist and lives in Essex.
