A PENSIONER was recovering at home today after she was involved in an accident with a car driven by former Clarets star Colin Waldron.
Rose Crossley, 76, of St Cuthbert's Close, Burnley, was in collision with Mr Waldron's Vauxhall Omega as she crossed the road at shortly after 6pm last Wednesday.
She suffered a dislocated right knee and was taken to Burnley General Hospital where she was treated and released.
Mr Waldren, 55, was a member of the Burnley side that clinched the 1972/1973 Second Division title.
Mr Waldron now runs bookmakers Waldron Racing, in Bradley Hall Road, Nelson, and lives in Cliviger with his wife, Jenny.
