LOCAL darts legend Alan Warriner had a nightmare as he crashed out of the PDC World Darts Championship.
The Iceman arrived at Purfleet only to realise he had left his darts at his new home in Carlisle - and had to drive through the night to retrieve them.
When he arrived back at his Essex hotel it was 4.30am - and he was due on the oche a few hours later.
The Lancaster-born ace was then beaten 4-1 by outsider Paul Williams.
