YOUNGSTERS who fancy a taste of life in the police but have not signed up for Pennine Division's 2005 Volunteer Police Cadet Scheme can now text the police to request an application form.
Volunteer Co-ordinator PC Derek Mitchell said: "The target audience for the cadet scheme is 16-19 year olds, a good number of whom will use text messaging day in day out."
The deadline for completed applications is January 31.
Anyone who wants an application form can either call the dedicated Cadet recruitment line on 01282 472304 or text PC Derek Mitchell on 07986 935688.
