A 26-YEAR-OLD Nelson man who was told shoplifting was easy at mill shops was caught three times in three days.

Blackburn magistrates heard that Adam Rickhuss was detained as he left Boundary Mill with more than £400 of clothing on Saturday.

And despite being released on bail, he went shoplifting at Oswaldtwistle Mills on Sunday and again on Monday.

Rickhuss, 26, of Sefton Terrace, Nelson, pleaded guilty to stealing clothing from Boundary Mill and perfume worth £160 from Oswaldtwistle Mills on two occasions.

He was remanded in custody until February 2 for the preparation of pre-sentence reports after the magistrates were told he had been made subject to a community rehabilitation order in December for shoplifting offences.

Eddie Harrison, prosecuting, said that when Rickhuss was arrested at Boundary Mill, he told police he had been told it was an easy store to steal from.

Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said it was clear something had gone wrong in his client's life.

"He had been out of trouble for over two years before a recent spate of offending," said Mr Church-Taylor.
