DO you have a spooky story to tell about things that go bump in the night?

If so, a Preston author and television presenter needs help of the supernatural kind.

Writer Jason Karl, of Garden Walk, Ashton, is on a ghost hunt for his fourth book and plans to travel the county for tales of the unexpected and creepy goings-on.

He aims to uncover undocumented 'spirit' sightings while laying to rest the rumours surrounding other eerie tales.

In researching the book the author plans to team up with a psychic ghost hunter and visit the places where people claim to have had a creepy encounter.

"I am really excited about my new commission," said Jason. "Although I have lived in Lancashire for the last nine years there is much of the county I have never visited.

"I am hoping to uncover some new stories and lay to rest some others!

"I want to hear from people who live with a ghost in their home, to find out some new stories.

"I hope to visit all of the locations myself and take along a psychic or a medium with me to see how they feel.

"It will be particularly interesting, as one of the chapters will be about my house, as it is an old Victorian house in which a few people have said that they have seen ghosts."

Jason is no stranger to researching and writing about strange phenomena and is the author of the ghost books, Jason Karl's Great Ghost Hunt and The Haunted Places of Lancashire.

He is also well known to satellite television viewers appearing in many programmes including Living TV's Most Haunted and Haunted Halloween Live.

In summer last year he also hosted TV Chef, at Truth Nightclub, Glover's Court, Preston.
